Booked as James Kelly. Age 36, cook, born in New York. Wanted in Pennsylvania on a parole violation, Whiteford was pressured to testify for the prosecution. He refused, was apparntly extradited and served a long penitentiary sentence. The IWW highly praised him for his loyalty and refusal to betray his fellow workers. See Walker Smith's "The Everett Massacre", pages 108, 137. |
