The Rucker Mausoleum was constructed in 1909 for Jane Morris Rucker (1830-1907) by her sons, Wyatt J. Rucker (1857-1931) and Bethel J. Rucker (1862-1945). The three are entombed here. This granite pyramid is 30 feet square by 30 feet tall and sits on a stone-encased earthen plinth. It was designed and constructed of Washington F.W. Ladd of Seattle at a cost of $30,000. The chapel space inside features 22 crypts with fitted closures of polished Barre granite from Vermont. The pyramid sits 204.5 feet above sea level, a full 70 feet higher than the lych gate entrance.
